WELCOME TO PICTURE THIS!
PICTURE THIS Photography Weekends and Tours are different to traditional photography workshops. Our weekends and workshops are more relaxed, more social, more interactive, less intense, less rushed and less structured. Our tours are unhurried. In short, they’re more fun!
For those wishing to learn and improve their photography skills, PICTURE THIS offers an easy-going, super-friendly environment where you’ll be offered advice, guidance and support from two accomplished photographers and tutors with contrasting but complementary styles. Those who are more confident and experienced will enjoy the company of like-minded photographers in immersive surroundings, and will be totally at liberty to use the weekend or tour for their own photography enjoyment.
Photographers of all levels of experience are welcome to join us, from beginners to hobbyists to serious enthusiasts. Our group sizes are small, affording you all the attention, help, support and feedback you need. Non-photographing partners are also welcome on all our trips, to enjoy the beauty of the landscapes around us and of course to join us for our social get-togethers!

WHO WE ARE
PICTURE THIS is run by Rina Sjardin-Thompson and Neil Protheroe, two experienced full-time photographers based on the South Island of New Zealand.
We have different but complementary photographic styles and we are both passionate about sharing our knowledge and helping others get great results from their own photography.

Details of our photography weekends and workshops are normally published around six months in advance and we are currently aiming to offer around 6 weekends within New Zealand and a number of tours overseas.

WHERE WE GO
We go to some of New Zealand’s most spectacular and photographically rewarding locations.
Our current itineraries include weekends in Golden Bay, Kaikoura, the Marlborough back country, Mount Cook and Lake Ohau, Fiordland, the West Coast and Mackenzie High Country. We’ll be adding North Island destinations soon!
